Drug Recognition Training
DRE Training in Dutchess County at an

DRE School Applications are accepted only for scheduled classes. Applications must be approved by the State Coordinator.  You will be notified if your application has been approved. A link to the appropriate application is provided in the class listing. Currently scheduled classes are listed below.

The following courses are offered through the year. Descriptions include course prerequisites and requirements.

May 13 - 24 Drug Recognition Expert Training (DRE) - Interviews & Phase 1
Interviews will be conducted on February 27 – March 1, 2019 at the Homewood Suites, 185 Woods Park Drive, Clinton, NY 13323
Phase 1 will be May 13 - 24 at the Homewood Suites, 185 Woods Park Drive, Clinton, NY 13323
Students who successfully complete Phase 1 will be sent to Phoenix, AZ for Phase 2 on June 2-8 for Field Certification Training.

The DRE School application must be received by Friday, January 25, 2019.

May 20 & 21 Advanced Roadside Impaired Driving Enforcement (ARIDE)
CLASS IS FULL

June 11 Mandatory Yearly DRE Recertification Training
This class is being rescheduled to July 9

Broome County Sheriff's Office, Public Safety Facility, 155 Lt. VanWinkle Drive, Binghamton, NY 13905
The training is from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. - Bring your DRE Bag and a fully charged tablet.
The mandatory yearly training session is being offered to any DRE who needs to attend 8 hours of training for 2019. You will receive a confirmation email to attend this course.
IF YOU DO NOT REGISTER YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ATTEND!
If you need to recertify within the next six months and your paperwork is complete, you may bring it with you.
